Our review bears informational and analytical nature and does not aim to promote goods and services in the market (according to the paragraph 2, article 2 of the Federal Law 38-FZ as of 13.03.2006 “About Advertising”, it is not an advertisement).

Currently, there is one functional casino in the gambling zone, which opened its doors for visitors in November of 2016. The facility offers 70 play tables and 321 slot machines. Besides, the casino neighbors a hotel with 100+ rooms of different comfort levels.

The approval of the second phase is expected in the summer of 2020. There are plans to start building a new complex next year. As a result, guests will get the same number of rooms, and the number of gaming equipment will increase twofold. Besides, the project involves several food outlets, a covered beach, duty-free shops, and service centers for business tourists. The construction process is expected to end in 2022.

Overall, the gambling zone is planning to open 11 facilities (the expected deadline is 2023).

Increased investments
in the region’s gaming facilities

Investors are making a growing number of cash injections. Agreements worth 74 billion rubles were closed with companies from South Korea, Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Russia. The Naga Vladivostok complex is under construction, which involves an 11-storeyed hotel, a casino, and a conference hall. There are also plans to build a waterpark, yachting club, ski slope, as well as entertainment facilities intended for the whole family. In the end, it will create 20,000 workplaces for citizens in Primorye.

Thai investment trust company Empire Asia Group announced its involvement in the construction projects of the Primorye gambling zone, as well as its interest in the airport in Vladivostok. South Korean Dongam Industry Co. signed an agreement intended to build a golf complex.

The region is actively building relations with Japanese travel companies, as guests from Japan are considered the target audience of the region.

Gambling tax revenue
is growing year by year

As of the end of the financial year 2019, the Primorye region reached the target of tax revenue for 98%, adding almost 132 million rubles to the budget. In 2020, the expected tax amount will be 24 million rubles bigger than in 2019.

The Primorye gambling zone shows good growth in attendance and earnings of facilities. That gives rise to a suggestion that thanks to the construction of new facilities, the region will become a popular place for the leisure time of not only Russians but also citizens of the near and not-so-near abroad.
